The Nürburgring was dubbed "The Green Hell" by famed F1 legend Sir Jackie Stewart due to just how treacherous the Nordschleife (literally 'north loop') is, and has always had an oversized presence in motorsports lore. And while F1 no longer runs the Nordschleife for safety reasons, the original section of the track still hosts the Nürburgring 24 Hours. Not only does the Nürburgring 24 hours run on the Nordschleife, but also on the modern Grand-Prix-Strecke (the current Grand Prix circuit) for a total combined distance of 15.5 miles per lap. For 24 hours. The ADAC TOTAL 24-hour race weekend starts this Thursday.
Now the amazing bit: The powers that be have given us permission to simulcast official race coverage, so you'll never miss a minute of the spectacle. That's right: we'll be streaming the race and practice sessions LIVE!
Our own J.G. Pasterjak (flown out by our good friends at Hyundai) will even be on location all week, and he'll be hosting our own live videos giving you a behind-the-scenes look at the action.

This is pretty awesome, I might be able to catch some of it on Friday, but I'm racing myself this weekend out of state, so won't get to see more than that.

The track was wet when I started watching, and seems like it mostly dried off. Dark now.
Watching the red Toyotas circulate before the race start right now, Whoever put the letters on the roofs needs a new job. When they pass under the helicopter the letters are upside down!
