Two events remain for the NATA Championship, with the next one this weekend. That contest takes place September 14-15 at Autobahn Country Club in Illinois for Gridlife.
Steve Luca, who won at Gridlife Mid-Ohio, is entered at Chicago. With a win in Illinois, he has the chance to tie Feras Qartoumy for the NATA Unlimited class point lead.

Three of the top five in points for the Large Tire 200tw class are on the entry list. That trio consists of Nick Hendrix (second in points), Keenan Prusank (third) and Kyle McKiou (fifth).
Finally, the Small Tire class’ competition is still very much wide open. Point leader Anthony Leclerc, with his Alfa Romeo 4C will be in attendance and looking to extend his lead.
What’s the NATA Championship Presented by Grassroots Motorsports? It simply seeks to crown the best of the best in time trials among Global Time Attack, Gridlife and SCCA competition.
Rules are easy to follow, as cars are classed simply by tire: Unlimited, Large 200tw and Small 200tw.
NATA consists of six events, with the best three points-paying finishes counting toward the final point tally. After Gridlife Chicago, one event remains: The Tire Rack SCCA Time Trials Nationals Powered by Hagerty on October 24-27 at NCM Motorsports Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
