Hear me out: Gullwing doors that hinge from the bottom.
What do the DeLorean DMC-12, Tesla Model X, Bricklin SV-1, Autozam AZ-1 and both Mercedes-Benz 300 SL and SLS have in common? They all stand out for the use of gullwing doors.
Sure, the design isn’t the most practical way for ingress and egress, but what car–new or old–would be improved with the addition of gullwing doors?
Lotus Elise
Gullwings are good for very low cars with wide sills, which is the reason given for them on the Merc 300SL.
I like the idea of the Elise and would just go a step farther and say the Evora. The Evora is nearly the perfect DD Lotus, except it's a pain to get in and out of.
I have to admit the BRZ/86/FRS would probably look pretty rad with proper gullwing doors. Almost like a mini SLS.

I wanted to do this on my camper van; the doors would fold down and turn into a patio.
