Do the engineers who spent countless hours designing and perfecting the cars that we drive know best? Probably, but that doesn't stop most of us from messing with their creations to make them lower, faster and louder.
Forum user Rocambolesque's Mercedes-Benz 190E is one such project.
Sure, the car worked nearly perfectly from the factory and served Rocambolesque well for many years in its stock form, but after parts around the engine began to break and fall apart, it was time for aftermarket upgrades. Some highlights so far include a manual transmission swap, a MegaSquirt fuel injection system and a custom-fabricated exhaust.
