I bought this to replace my 1995 XJ Cherokee about 6 years ago. Had I never experienced the 4.0 H.O. I would probably like the Xterra a great deal more. The 1st gen Xterra a great platform ruined by a wheezy, gas guzzling engine. Comfortable driver and pretty decent off road, but I should have waited for a 2nd gen Xterra.
