This was the back-up car for Jimmy Spencer’s win at the 1998 NASCAR Busch Series Sam’s Town 300 at Las Vegas. Jimmy took the car back to his garage and kept it for himself for years. It was sold and the new owner began converting it to road course use as a track-day car. I bought it about three years ago as a full roller and am building it for historic and vintage road racing during the 2024 season. I have acquired a Jerico 4-speed and an 18 degree SBC for the build and hope to begin practice at Road Atlanta, Barber and VIR in early 2023.
