1974 Mercedes-Benz 450 SLC Rally

Here is my 450 SLC FIA Rally Car. Still in Rally trim from The Classic Adelaide Rally in Australia. The car is all “Euro Spec” (no emission equip. and never had any), high compression 4.5 liter V-8 engine with a four speed manual transmission and a 3.55 rear diff. It never had AC, or power windows and is fitted with some aluminum body panels.

Somehow that shop looks familiar.....I can still feel the tranny fluid dripping on my chest as I fall asleep under a customer's car at 4 in the morning so we had enough money to go on another Rally! NEXT needs to be a LeMons car Joe....

Is that a Silver Arrows car or SLC Racing? i did not know there was an authentic euro replica in Aus. I race a 1980 R107 but have blown up too many merc engines and run a chevy (500hp/600nm) you can see some action at www.youtube.com.user.targamerc won the Tassy Sports Sedan Championship last year love to start a dialogue, are you on any benz boards? ozbenz or benzworld there are a number of old merc guy sin Aus but mainly road car spec anyway send me a line thanks Paul
