Mar 16, 2012 update on Protege2886's 1991 BMW 318is

Hit the "checkout" line

I paid $1400 for the BMW and with my first parts order, I have nearly matched that amount.

Picked up a number of reinforcement plates and urethane bushings from AKG to support and beef up the driveline.

Bimmerworld was the next stop for some new control arms with solid control arm bushings

Finally, Pelican Parts closed out the order with some solid rubber E28 5-series motor mounts and a replacement front lip for the 318is.

The E28 mounts may not be the best racing option, but at $44/pair compared to $125-$250, I can live with the risk that I may have to replace them a few times.
