How much faster does the Z51 Performance Package make the Chevrolet C8 Corvette on track? And is that extra speed worth the price bump?
We took a Z51-equipped C8 to our official test track, the Florida International Rally & Motorsport Park, to find out. Presented by CRC Industries.

Interesting Information. I wish that when doing on track testing, you would do an uninterrupted, unedited, non talking in car hot lap with the camera placed to the right and right behind your head. I wish NASCAR would also.

With admittedly different tires how much validity can all of the data and conclusions be other than acceleration out of a corner?

I remember when Chevy promised to deliver this car for $50k.... oh the memories.

In reply to AnthonyGS (Forum Supporter) :
It was $60k, and they did, two years ago, for the base model

Even the acceleration out of corners could be attributed to tires, at least in part.

Quoted for truth. This can not be stated enough. The last video had the same problem.
The cars can frequently speak for themselves, please let them.

But, but, but...
It's not a Miata.

You're right, it's three of them!

Chris and I talked about it and we'll be adding these to the test videos from now on. It will probably be at the end of the video, after I sign off, but before the sponsor roll. I know a couple of you have requested an over-the-right-shoulder view for everything, but the realities of rigging that for every single car might preclude that. We can guarantee at least an out-the-windshield view, though.

Yes, please! It would gain me as a viewer.
Something like I have in my Miata can be easily rigged on most cars.
