The 1988 M5 sold for $48,400. It was mint. Crazy money or not? Remember when these were worth like a tenth of that?

Enjoy.
Each year we take a group of our readers behind the scenes at Bonhams’ Quail auction, and once again the field didn’t fail to impress—amazing examples of six- and seven-figure classics from all of our favorite brands. Not everything was out of price range, though, as the cool 1964 Pontiac Tempest wagon sold for $15,400. At Monterey, that’s the deal of the day.

It was mint, but it also had something like 85K miles on it. That's crazy money for a car with that much use. That said.....try to find another. People used those M5s--- it seems like most have 250K miles on them. That Tempest wagon was a steal at that price. It was very, very nice.
