Considering selling the Manta. It is a 74 with 1.9l and 4 speed manual. New Weber 32/36 carb, new brake master and booster with new hard lines in front and rebuilt the calipers. It does not have an exhaust (rotted off after the header).
It does run but every time I have tried to drive it it dies under acceleration, the fuel system probably needs cleaned out. It didn't have brakes so I never drove too far.
Rust on the frame rails in front of the firewall (just on the outer skin, the thicker frame reinforcement underneath is solid).
50xxx miles showing but don't know if that is accurate.
I am currently waiting on the front brake flex hoses that I ordered to finish bleeding the brakes and get it on the road. I am still up in the air about selling it but I found another car I want more and would like to clear out some projects.
$1200, located in Columbus, OH. Clear Ohio title.
I drive past a green one in a guys yard every couple of weeks. The weeds growing around it don't seem to keep me from thinking about it...

I was trying to imagine what it would look like in green...
This was actually the first item I typed into Craigslist when I decided after one rallycross in a Ford Probe rental that I needed a cheap car to race. My dad had a 74 from brand new that he did stage rally in the 70's and early 80's. I went on a few local Sunday TSD's with him and loved it.
If this were in slightly better running shape you'd be offered $1k to see what your answer would be... (I just don't have the abilities to make it streetable.)
sorry for the blur but I'll leave this here for inspiration. Circa 1993 at the old Lanier Speedway across from Road Atlanta, from my glory days. Young, single, and life was all about racing. SARRC regional at Road Atlanta Saturday in the SCCA car, drive across the street and circle track the Manta Sat night, then back to Road A for the Sunday race.
My wife sure is glad you live way far away from me. I on the other hand would love to take this off your hands.
