EDIT: Car is actually a '94 M-Edition. Still clean title. Somebody's gotta want this. The hardtop alone is worth $800.
I bought this on a whim a month or so ago thinking I might get it back on the road, or part it out, or something. In reality, the boat project is going to take all my gearhead time and project space this winter, so I'll pass it on to someone else.
It's a '96 M-Edition with ~140k miles, clean title in hand, and some moderate front-end crash damage. The M Edition had all the goodies-leather, Torsen, alloys, etc. This one also has a hardtop, which is included.
The crash damage looks like someone hit a pole dead-center running 25 or so. Inner fenders are bent, subframe isn't, doesn't appear to have gotten into the front of the engine. Fenders have a couple small creases but I think they could be reused. What it will need:
-One headlight assembly
-Hood
-bumper and supports
-core support
-undertray
-windshield
-both airbags
-radiator (have one that goes with it)
-A/C condenser (have a brand new one that goes with it)
-misc. trim pieces
the inner fenders will need to be straightened as well. I know a local board member who has a parts miata that has almost everything you'll need except the hood to get this thing back on the road, and I'd imagine he'd sell you what you need cheapish.
As for the rest of the car? It's got some rust at the drain holes, although it's not bad yet. Body is pretty straight and paint appears savable on most of the rest of it. Could use a degunking, will need a soft top per the previous owner. Interior is not great, seats have some rips and will need a gauge hood but the radio surround is good. Stock chrome 14" hollow-spokes with good tires. I have not started it. Hardtop is black, looks good, has defrost and headliner.
Make a great driver/beater, or part it out, or a challenge car (willing to write up the purchase price however you want to see it). Car is located in Sedalia, MO. PM me or email me (psteav at google's email service).
Coming to the challenge? If so bring it. I want to say I'll take it, but otherwise MO is just a little to far away to come get
Wait...is it driveable?
But it comes with another rad...
Too soon for me, if you've still got it in a month(maybe sooner, I've gotta sell the SVX first) I might look at a fly and drive with it. If the control arms are not bent, and the core support can be pulled out via chain and pole/tree I might look at the adventure. I've got a complete front end to make this thing perfect, a perfect NA dash etc, etc, etc. the hard top alone would make it worth the trip. I would just part out the other two I've got sitting here. Who knows I might just build a beater out of them for me to drive so my wife could have this.
I have the chassis & most parts to fix it. I am parting a non wrecked, non rusty, straight 96M with clear title.

location?
He's near ATL.
Pitbull, if it was coming to the challenge he would already have a deposit paypaled to him.
Sorry guys. Can't make the challenge this year. Willing to deliver within 200 miles for gas money though.

Gene you know your wife is not going to let you get another car Either will mine but it's nice to dream. MO is only 1000 miles one way...hmm
And if the new car was a hardtop miata for her? Oh yes she would! but I would never hear the end of it till it was road worthy and "pretty".
Yeah, I'm contemplating a plane ticket and the drive. I'm confident enough in my ability to fix a miata in the dark(I've already replaced a clutch master in the dark with no lights once on one) that I'm severely tempted.

Eh, if you're not a serial killer, I'll even help you patch it together in the shop. With tools. And heat! (Working out here in the dark in October is a bastard. BTDT.)
PM me if you want more details on the parts car (contact info and such). Also, no guarantee I'm not a serial killer.

HAHAHA your profile says "Occupation: Bloodsucking Attorney" I'm already prepared!
What would "gas money" look like delivered to 63119 (webster groves, just off 44 in the West StL suburbs)?
