Apparently I've misplaced my copy of CM Jan 2010 or I never had it. Can someone describe the article that relates to the Gulf Porsche 917 on the cover...assuming there is an article. Or better yet, scan the cover and article send it to me. Or less than better yet, direct me to the e-version...assuming there is an e-version of this issue.
Trying to decide if I need to buy a replacement copy.
Many Thanks
On a related note, is there an index of cars covered in each issue? Looking for specific Porsche/MG coverage.
On another related note to the staff, any plans for a digital archive like they do with Motor Sport?
There is no E version of this one yet. I believe we do still have this issue available. Give Gary at CMS a call at 386 239 0523. He'll get you fixed up.
Thanks Tim:
Found my copy.
Do you guys have any plans to create an archive disc with back issues? As I mentioned, Motor Sport does this by decade. My dilemma is I can't stand the thought of parting with my hardcopies of GRM and CM, but the rafters in my attic can no longer support the weight.
Hmm, no plans at this time, but you have sparked an idea. I might have to set that one on one of the back burners, work on it when I can...

Here's what I mean:

Ignoring the cost/effort of scanning in back issues pre-digital age, it's certainly a way to generate revenue from a untapped resource. You have the gold in the ground. You just need to mine it and sell it. I don't know if it makes financial sense, but I know I'd buy the discs.
The fact is, despite being 25+ years old, those old magazine still have relevant content... I'd pay several US dollars to read.
PS, I have a few issues of Autocross you can use if you're missing any... I'll even scan them to get you started. What's more grassroots than a community scanning project?

I'd buy that, annual copies of the mags in disc form for posterity/ability to take 10 years worth on a trip to peruse at my leisure on my tablet/smartphone...
