One of the ladies at work has a tree full of ripe star fruit, and she has been kind enough to bring some to work for us.... ha ve been playing with it, znd thought this was tasty.
a few table spoons of ice water, better if infused with ginger
one star fruit, coursely chunked
one crisp pear, cut into thin slices
one handfull of craisins
fresh ginger to taste, may be sliced or grated
honey to taste
put iced water and ginger in bittom of bowl. add fruit. toss. drizzle with honey. toss again.
does anybody else have good recipe

Man, it's been years since I've had a starfruit. I'm gonna have to go get one tomorrow.
Sorry, no recipes, you just reminded me of something I'd forgotten all about.
So how is a starfruit different from a fruit that has yet to gain that level of fame and adulation?
No way I'd add sugar to fruit salad. But the ginger thing might be worth a try!

Yeah and the piece of cake I had for lunch doesn't count either cause it was cut and all the calories leaked out.
Also: Sugar is made from sugarcane, which is a plant, which is practically a VEGETABLE.
