Like racing for a good cause? The sixth annual Drive for 75, a 4-hour karting enduro, enabled racers to do just that. Eleven teams took the green flag under a perfectly blue sky on Sunday, June 26. Sponsored by Continental Motors and the Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, Illinois, this event has a goal of raising $75,000 annually for DuPage Pads–a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating homelessness in Chicagoland’s DuPage County.

This year the event exceeded its goal, raising $75,747. Over the past six years, the Drive for 75 has raised nearly half a million dollars and helped countless families get back on their feet.

Grassroots Motorsports was there once again, with Associate Publisher Joe Gearin racing as part of team PB&J’s–with support from the Davi Law Group. This year they had strong showing, charging from fourth place to second overall within the last hour of the race– and this was despite having a few incidents on Autobahn’s challenging and fast kart circuit.
