If you love stick shifts, you’re going to love this. Mini is adding manual transmissions to four more models: Cooper Convertible, Cooper S Convertible, Cooper 4-Door Hardtop and Cooper S 4-Door Hardtop.

You can order them now with a manual, and production begins on March 1.

Last November, Mini reintroduced the manual to its Cooper, Cooper S and John Cooper Works 2-Door Hardtops.

If you don’t feel confident about your manual driving abilities, there’s a Mini Manual Driving School. There, you can learn the joy of driving a stick shift.

Do I need a convertible mini with a manual transmission? Not really, but I think it's really cool that it is an option.

You need it more than you realize laugh. I have to say, when I drove the JCW Mini last fall, I was impressed with its clutch. It had a great feel, making it easy for those who don't drive a stick daily to enjoy.

"MINI to offer models with increased reliability"  is a headline I'd find more intriguing.

I had an F56 JCW Mini for 4 years. I daily drove it, autocrossed and tracked it and all I did were brakes/tires/oil. I know its a small sample size and the car WAS new, but that's pretty decent reliability for me. I do hear they are more expensive to maintain at higher mileage, but not necessarily unreliable.

I thought those models were already available with a stick? Maybe not the current gen? I dunno.

The R50 was almost perfect, if a little heavy for its size.
