Nine Lives Racing’s Carbon Fiber Wáng features a full 12-inch chord, where the company’s aluminum wings check in at 9.5 inches. More chord equals more downforce. “It’s "28% bigger in every way but the weight,” states the company’s Johnny Cichowski.
Some data from the firm’s testing: A 71-inch-wide carbon wing mounted at a 2-degree angle of attack achieved the same balance as a 71-inch-wide aluminum wing running a 5-degree angle of attack and fitted with a ¾-inch Gurney flap. The carbon wings start at $2675.80.
