Since it seems like every year a few deals get done at the challenge (or the hotel parking lot), anyone planning on selling their challenge car? At this point, I intend to keep the Impala after the challenge, but could be convinced otherwise if the right deal on something else roadworthy and interesting comes up.
Subaru forester will be for sale, if Patrick's sister decides to pass on it

Did this Forester autocross at the Firm recently?
I'd be interested in the Forrester for a rally-x car!
What's the price on the forester? I won't be at the challenge, but I could do a fly and drive.
In reply to Floating Doc (Forum Supporter) :
Yup that was pre suspension and pre paint.
I still have the stock suspension pieces which I swapped out yesterday.
In reply to AngryCorvair (Forum Supporter) :
I will post the price once patrick's sister lets me know what she is going to do. He was the 1st to inquire about it.
Beaten to the punch by Patrick and Patrick and a few others.
Looks like a great Forester!
I too would have liked to have but now I'm far down the line.
My car is for sale or trade...
2002 Toyota Celica GT-S w/ 135k miles and lots of recent tlc that has actually made it into a fun car again. Recent paint work requires that either you are secure in your masculinity or are, in fact, a 5 year old girl.
Seeing as how my sister almost got killed today in her smart fortwo by an 85 year old who drove around someone stopped at a stop sign right in front of her on the main road, she's all in on the forester if it survives the weekend healthy. Sorry guys. We just need to get it up here somehow after her insurance pays out.
In reply to Patrick (Forum Supporter) :
So sorry to hear about your sister Patrick. Glad she is going to be OK.
In reply to Patrick (Forum Supporter) :
Hopefully she's ok and the 85 year old reconsiders driving.
If this is the offical for sale thread I'll put some stuff up. Actually not really for sale as they'll mostly be free.
In reply to Patrick (Forum Supporter) :
I respect that.
Hey if this is going to turn into a makeshift swap meet I'll bring my wallet!
In reply to MrJoshua :
It is a 6 speed 2zz car; silver with pink accents, some sprayed on by an actual 5 year old girl. Black leather interior. Body has few rust spots and some underneath but nothing structural. Interior has some blemishes but cleaned up pretty well.
Short shift kit and bushings make it feel nice. Revs well and pulls hard for a 1.8 liter. New Yokohama advan 205/45r16 300tw. Kyb agx on Megan Springs all around. Mostly new energy bushings, ball joints, end links, strut mounts throughout. Whiteline rear sway bar. New harmonic balancer, serp belt, alternator and battery plus all fluids and general tune up stuff. New calipers, pads and rotors all around. Zex wet nos kit with jets from 45-75hp. Seats had a few rips that I have patched cheaply for now.
Has no belt tensioner and I think the bolt is broken off in the block. A little custom work made the alternator bracket adjustable to tighten shorter belt to work properly. Much time and sweat for a grassroots stop gap solution... fuel filler door broke off and fender liners are removed because they were trashed.
No leaks or squeaks. Everything works including CD player and a/c. Currently has Schroth 4 point harness in addition to stock belts that I might like to keep...
Spent a lot of time going over almost everything in the last 6 weeks and I think it is in good shape and very fun. Not perfect but a respectable place to move forward from. Trades are welcome and lowballing considered.
Edit: new battery, leather wrapped steering wheel to match original and genuine trd shift knob with actually real carbon fiber! Hard to remember it all...

Thank you. Thoughts on price?
These items are free. Let me know because I'll only bring them if someone wants them.
Four 15x7 Jeep wheels. 5x114.3
I have two of these. 17x8? Off a 350z. 5x114.3
In reply to MrJoshua :
Well, I got it for $100 and constantly think that I overpaid...
I have been offered $3k which seems about right, just wasn't ready to sell yet.
Suppose how it runs this weekend and what shape it survives it in makes a big difference... very open to oddball trades

Pretty recent pic
The pink looks pretty good IRL. Nice job.

And it's currently faster than a Lexus GS430
