With the GRM Skidpad Challenge gone, our club has been looking for a suitable replacement event…0ne where we could all get together and have fun with our cars in a safe environment. We have been toying with the idea of renting a track and having our own trackday for years now and we have finally taken the plunge.
So one month before the $2000 Challenge, on Thursday September 22 we will be at Carolina Motorsports Park for our first ever Timeshare Trackday. All my fellow Challengers are invited, hell we could even do like a $2000 Challenge entry discount. Its our first event but we are putting in a lot of work to make sure we are successful, so come on out…and there will be great non racetrack food!
The list of cars already signed up is already pretty interesting: MR2 Turbo, 944 Turbo (without a rotary), Boxster S, H22 Accord Coupe, AWD Mirage, E28 535is, RX8s, 1st Gen RX-7 Turbo, Supercharged E36 328is, E30s, E46s, E90 335i, Sentra SE-R, SR20 S13, Merkur XR4Ti, late model M3s….and pending: Celica Alltrac, Galant VR4, C6 Z06, C7, EG Civic, Integra Type R, 2.5 RS Turbo and hopefully many more

Right now it appears that my work schedule will allow me to attend/instruct. Not sure what car I will bring yet, hauling one of the race cars down or just driving down from VA in one of the police interceptors? Looking forward to it.
