Trying to get rid of a 1991 Mazda Miata MX5. The odometer reads 280k some odd miles, but the engine and transmission have been replaced.
I'm asking $700 for it. I'm live in Southern Indiana/Louisville.
This was an automatic miata, but a 5speed transmission was put in it. Both the engine and transmission have about 30-40k miles on them.
I just replaced the back brake caliper, as I needed brakes. The car runs. Needs a new muffler/exhaust, so it's pretty loud right now.
It is a hardtop, the hard top is in good shape, needs some paint. It does have a soft top with it, but the window is dry rotted out, heh.
Here is a picture:

The car runs great. It is loud because of the exhaust.
*EDIT: Not sure why the other link for the picture didn't work. Try this one!
If it weren't for the rust, i would have been there this evening for it......I just have no desire to deal with rust ever again. GLWS
In reply to gtoben:
Nope.
I fixed the brakes (brand new caliper on the back driver side). Cracked windshield... but other than that it runs great.
Like I said, it's got a newer engine and transmission in it.
In reply to wangel: Still up for sale....
I need to get rid of this thing, debating on taking it to the scrap yard =( Like I said, the car runs great ... just needs some more tlc that I don't have the time or resources to do right now.
Please PM me if you end up scrapping it, i'd be interested in the hardtop, but realize it might be kind of hard to sell if the soft top is really messed up.
Local yard was giving $425 for complete cars last month. If they're still doing that, i'd make up the difference on your asking price for the top.
Where are you at? I'm in Evansville, and a friend of mine is looking for something EXACTLY like this.
Would this make it back to Cincinnati on its own w/o deafening me or drawing a noise ticket. Ohyeahand, falling apart or anything?
In reply to OddBallRacing:
Yes it would make it to Cinci. The noise isn't as bad as it was ... if the muffler is off, it's stupid loud. I put the muffler back on (The wrong muffler) so it's clamped on the hangar w/ a pair of vice grips.
No it is not falling apart. There is rust, you can see it in the pic. It's only on the drivers side it seems.
I'll even throw in the vice grips for free!
I guess I'll put my name next in line for it. Really need a motor for my F Prod Miata just to get it back on the track right now.

Not to hijack this thread (although I'm the one that's going to be picking it up this weekend, so I'm definitely not blocking any sales by doing so), I've got probably 15 Escort GT 1.8L engines that I'd sell dirt cheap.
