Really got the E28/30/36 bug right now, need to get some cash to get one. Probably a bad idea to get rid of this, but I don't care.
Here is the information:
1995 Honda Civic DX. Has a "new" motor, as stated by the P.O. The engine and cluster was pulled out of another DX. Just turned over 150,000 this week. No "performance" parts added to the motor, just heat reflective material to help cool. P.O. also said it got a new clutch/pressure plate when the motor was installed. I've bled the clutch with new Motul Racing Fluid. Never had one issue. Actually, I lied. One issue I've had since owning it was the distributor rotor became worn. Put a new cap, rotor, plugs and wires in about 2,000 miles ago. No drips, no leaks, no check engine lights, ect.
Here is what I have done: Added a Sparco wheel from a MX-5 Cup car. Added Ferrari 512TR brake/clutch pedal covers. Simple shift knob from a Ferrari 308. Knockoff Sparco racing seat. Crappy AM/FM radio thing so I can listen to my iPod. Got a set of steel braided brake lines for it, got the right front on (the rubber line was leaking). Left front steel line is still in the trunk (scroll down for the reason why). Rear lines are meant for discs, I have drums. Windshield banner to block the sun. Maybe illegal, but haven't been stopped for it.
Previous owner cut the springs. It is kinda bouncy, not that bad. Have a set of Eibach springs off of a Spec Miata that I'm throwing into the deal.
Wheels are Team Dynamics I got for super cheap. 17x7's I think. New tires as of last April. No wacky camberhellaflushbro setup, no camber wear at all. It does have a little toe-out up front, I'm going to string it and give it alittle toe-in, maybe this weekend.
Issues: Driver's side window regulator is bad. It's a wind-up/down, not power. I haven't gotten around to it since it's so friggin hot here in Texas, so I just leave the window down. Never rained in, parked in my garage every night. Air Conditioning works, occasionally. The clutch kicks on, then kicks off, causing the belt to squeel. When it is on, it works fine. Driver's seat is a bit slim for most people. Trunk lid has developed this problem where it doesn't align properly with the latch and just bounces back up when you try to close it. I found if you pull the latch 2 or 3 times, it will close correctly, sometimes. I have quick release rubber latches that typically come on the front of old 911 racecars. I might put them on, haven't yet. Body is riddled with dings and has a TERRIBLE repaint from someone down the line of ownership. Paint doesn't have runs, it has MARATHONS! Bad job of masking it, paint, and it is faded too. Mirrors move with the wind. Rearview mirror got knocked off when I hit a massive pothole in Dallas. Didn't bend the wheel, but kocked the mirror off. Going to glue it back on. Has a slight shimmy at 50ish. Think it might be do to the toe-out.. Left front lug stud has broken free and I can't get it to re-seat. The speedo doesn't read speed accurately. I think the cable in the back isn't quite reaching or what, but I don't speed, so it's not an issue to me. The cluster dimmer switch is bad, causing no lights to the cluster. If you knock or hit the switch itself, the lights will come on. I don't drive at night, so never really dealt with it all that much.
