Sure, id rather manual but that would still be an exceptional commuter, especially if stop and go traffic were an issue.

I wouldn't mind having it, even if it is an automatic. I'm guessing Iowa is a salt state, so I would buy without a good look see.

I'm in Lincoln, used to be in Sioux City. There are a few of us in the area on here.
My dad is 6'1" and he fits into my '87 with T-Tops just fine. You would have to be very very tall to not fit into a 1st gen MR2.
I'm right at 6' and fit fine in mine. Though have to lean the seat back if I keep the t-tops on while wearing a helmet.
The auto is a shame. With the peaky nature of the 4age, I'd imagine an auto would suck all the life out of it.
How tough are they to convert to manual?
SCCA Club racing friend (and hoarder of MR2 parts thankfully) is well over 6' tall and succesfully races one.
