Nothing wrong with that either.

It does not have an LS engine in it.

That is one problem.
Window motor, rear bumper is cracked, front driver fender damage, key won't turn, battery may need replaced, passenger side mirror needs replaced.
After getting pricing on a new key/electronic ignition system on the E320 I've filled my watchlist with every wrecked rwd 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0 van, SUV or pickup in PA.
After doing some searching on eBay, I should easily be able to recoup everything necessary from the Mercedes.
The first two insurance auctions I was watching ended today. A 07 police Tahoe that was wrecked went for $1500, the wrecked 08 6.0 express van went for $1200. With copart fees they would've really added up. I'm hoping to get one for under $1000 after fees, might need to have 200k+ miles and rusty or wrecked bad enough.
I'm obviously not the only one who thought this would be a good idea.
I was trying to make a joke with my comment above, but I would whole heartedly approve, if the car goes in that direction.
Slap a turbo on it while you're at it, and you'd have one heck of a sleeper.
In reply to TheV8Kid:
It's actually a cheaper idea than replacing the stock electronic ignition system that can't seem to be done without a trip to the Mercedes dealer.

I'm waiting patiently...
Other than that I really need to start selling cars and spare parts. I threatened to get rid of a Volvo one of my employees is storing in my basement because I need more room for all my junk.
Just missed a 6.0 express yesterday morning for $600. I know i said no more van engine pulls, but the van harness is so long you have the freedom to put the pcm anywhere. I'm keeping an eye open for you. I have my engine for next year already
I still want the purple Q, one day
In reply to patgizz:
I don't know what to do with the purple Q it is very nice but I really have no use for it and I don't really like the idea of blowing it up at the challenge.
Today I looked on ebay for LS400 coilovers... made an offer 40% of the asking price on the same set I had in $2015. Received an email three hours later awaiting payment. Looks like the LS400 might be making a trip to the $2017 Challenge, just need to find a nitrous kit and I'm ready to go.

My newest 1993 has traction control which should help in the drag racing portion of the event. I would still have $497 left in budget for nitrous and "theme"
The Q45 is on its way to its new home in Michigan. Sold it to an avid infiniti guy, he actually purchased a new 1990 Q45 when they originally came out. Just recently he purchased a few other Q45s to restore one to its original luster and saw this on eBay and just had to have it.
He has to pass within 6 miles of my house on his return trip. I would have been happy to show him quite possibly the cleanest interior in any remaining 1990 Q45.
