There's no denying he's yours. He just has better taste is all. He likes Neons and the Funky interior in mine and billet wheels. I'm proud of your son.
Michael, I know you find solace in all things revolving around 'spit n' polish', I ask that you focus on these simply cuz of the time to address/cleanse is WAY less than the other choices. Hence allowing you to spend time on more pressing issues (than detailing funky ..oops hoops) like your dear daughter.
my belltech drop shocks suffered from disintegrating bushings. They got very very rattley.
I replaced with shock extenders (46 from ebay) and suburban bilstein shocks (14 from pull a part)
Much more better. Now to find matching front bilstein shocks.
Also, 5k on trans swap. No issues. I like this truck. Its a good truck.
I think its probably tine for a full update, but thats going to wait until i have "finished" paint pictures.
However, im finishing the buffing, and then ceramicoating the truck. Bed done, cab not. Art left a lot of swirls amd missed spots and holograms, but has been coming by and helping the touch up process.
In reply to John Welsh :
Thats whats called buffer trails or holograms.
Ill say, this is the worst ive seen that happen. I think its primarily a result of ambient temps, pad contamination from the trash in the paint, and soft clear coat.
But im no expert. Its getting way better though! Whole bedside looked like that....
The bed looks great, can't wait to see the whole truck done! I do not have the patience to detail anything to that level, but it is neat to see the results.

Im actually quite enjoying detailing and such lately. Just kinda low stress and rewarding.
Its a different kind of hobby, thats for sure. But im burned out on twisting wrenches and slinging weld. I needed something to do that was different.
In reply to Justjim75 :
Oh, you've seen my skill level many times. Usually in welds that looked like bird E36 M3 and broke!
So low.
think the Eagles and Centerlines make the truck look 10 years older and the KMCs make it look more modern, if that makes sense.
In reply to Brett_Murphy (Agent of Chaos) :
The pictures make it look low due to angle, and the fact that the 31 inch tall tires are slightly tucked. However, its WAY higher than the red truck....
And that makes perfect sense on the wheels.
Sofly: i can do that. Drop it off, and ill get to it when i get a chance. Ignore extra mileage, as thats just a free bonus!
$235 later, we have a non cracking, non scratched and pitted windshield.
I have realized how much i appreciate new glass after the daily got a new windshield.
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael :
Was that through a local outfit or one of the nationwide places (safelite)? Mine has developed a small leak at the top of the windshield just to the right of the rearview mirror.
In reply to 06HHR (Forum Supporter) :
Local outfit. Dc autoglass out of midland nc. Good guys, good service.
So, dad just called me. Puddle under tbe pitman arm shaft of power steering fluid. apparently the seal no longer does. Yay steering box time....
