Ok nearly 3 years golly, time flies.
I can't just do the one thing. The oil pan swap went off without a hitch.
these two pressed in bolts on the exhaust on the other hand will need to be grounded out.
Two bottles of propane used up. Many dremal heads used up.
drill bit snapped off in one of them. I'll try tungsten head when harbor freight opens in the morning
Ugh, that's a horrible place to have broken bolts.. Best of luck!
Did you ever re-code the car for cruise control? How'd that go/how did you do it?
How's your middle son making out in life nowadays?
Maybe pull the manifold off? It will be far easier to remove those on the bench.
Is propane hot enough to do the trick? I use my acetylene torch......
Those are a prime candidate to weld a nut on. The heat will break the rust down. The nut will give you something to grab to spin it out.

We never coded for Cruise control, just kind of forgot about it.
My son is doin pretty good, he lives in town here and is working and we see him about once a week.
I was able to drill out the center of the bolt with Cobalt (the metal not the brand) drill bits and then Air hammer them out.
OK worst weekend ever
TLDR; failed helical coil repair leads to oil pan replacement, requiring exhaust removal. Snapped two PRESSED in bolts.
Lots of attempts to remove bolts, ultimately Cobalt Steel drill bit to drill out the center of the bolt (after a cut off Dremal wheel shorted the bolt) and then Air hammer punched it out.
2 out of 10 stars this weekend. I took a vacation day today to finish up.
Also, got it off of the jack stands and THEN remembered the O2 sensor plug...
