Here's a vehicle I built from my retired Subaru Forester. Probably one of the only tube cage exo cars out there titled and street legal for what it is and not under a donor title. the DF Goblins and Exocets maybe, but this is the only AWD truck version i know of

- Chassis made from 1020 A500 GrC ERW 1.66" OD x .140 Wall
- Engine is a Ej22 with EJ20 WRX Heads, Forged internals, Makes 415awhp at 28psi on E85 Safe tune
- Transmission, Standard Subaru 5mt 4.11 FD, AWD, Ceramic Southbend Clutch
- Corbeau DFX Seats w/ Racequip 5 point harnesses
- ISC Coilovers from a Subaru GD chassis
- 05-09 Legacy GT Brakes all around, 18x9 Wheels wrapped in 245/40 Falkens
- 3" Stainless Exhaust to a Magnaflow dual exit muffler, Vibrant resonator
- 156" long x 74" Wide x 53" High, Weighs 2400 pounds wet.
- Wiring, engine cradle, steering, suspension links... all original Forester

I have about a mile total on it up and down my street. Feels pretty good so far. Had it up to 40ish with just a quick throttle press in 2nd gear. I'm used to the motor, its the same setup and tune that i had in my forester for years. Its has that awesome turbo curve. Just placed an order for some aluminum diamond plate to replace the plywood bed floor.
This is awesome and really not helping my desire to build a crazy tube frame kart.

wow. i like that alot! the cage has a nice cool boxy feel and look very well thought out. the truckbed feature is a solid bonus.

Okay I take back all the bad things I say about our old Forrester.... that thing is really cool!
Seeing that cherry picker in the back ground, Turn it around and mount it to back and you can run around and gather up broken cars at the 2018 challenge.
got my VIN plate, registration plate and Insurance cards this week. Drove it to work today, going to get final window sticker put on at lunch.
Its running on pump gas and wastegate turbo pressure. At 25% throttle its still a blast
