It's a 2wd. I was only moving it 2 blocks. In hindsight I should have just used a tow strap and flat towed it.

That sucks. I was hoping you were bringing the egg to the FIRM yesterday.
I just saw the FIRM post last night after the fact. I couldn't make it any way I left shortly after damaging the pathfinder for Nashville.
Since I have a bunch of stuff pulled apart to repair the harness I thought it would be a good time to start painting the engine bay.
I really liked the gray paint on my old S-ER's engine compartment.
I finished redoing the messed up wiring. The car fired right up. I wiggled the wires that were causing the car to stall and it seems to be fixed. I will keep my fingers crossed.
For repairs so far I have bought one two prong trailer adapter, and a set of plugs. I bought a new coil and an ignitor chip but they are not needed since I figured out the problem was a broken wire. I changed the oil and the transmission fluid and installed a used stock shifter and a new shift knob.
I am going to start driving it and see how she does before I figure out what else needs to be addressed before October.
I worked on the nx2000 today. I was able to sort of reattach the front bumper using some epoxy and a few zip ties.
I fixed the brake light that was staying on. The rubber stopper had fallen out of the upper pedal.
I hooked up all of the wires i had repaired and took the car for a 20 minute test drive. It drove great. I swapped it out with the Camaro behind the car lot.

Old time scrap yard (now gone) near me had geese instead of dogs. Mean, loud geese. Never had theft problems.
Seeing these wonderful comments and pictures brings back some wonderful memories of my SR20 and all the guys I spent so much time with enjoying these cars. I feel SO OLD!
Picked up the car this afternoon. It came out pretty darn nice if you ask me.
I am happy we went with the red wheels.
Lookin' good! Maybe some matching red vinyl stripes on the hood + roof + sides just for the Challenge? You know how they like colors
That does look nice. Still think you'll kick Gastropod butt? I think you'll get autocross but not sure about drags.

I am hoping that it does well in the autocross, but I think how it places is going to depend on how many miatas show up. I figure it's good for a 15 in the quarter mile so that should be mid pack overall.
You'll need to log in to post.
