Money shot!
Also thanks have to be given to my buddy, Mike! He has almost as many hours in this project as I do, and it couldn’t have happened without his help!
In reply to Patrick :
Anytime you want!
I didn’t want to post anything about it until it was almost done! I didn’t want to get sidetracked by conflicting opinions!
In reply to NOT A TA :
I’ve wanted one since high school! But without the modifications that I made I don’t fit. So this one is the only one that I have ever ridden in!
In reply to Brotus7 :
The width of the Porsche transaxle is exactly 1” narrower than the diff from a 1.8l Miata. So I had a friend machine 1/2” spacers that let me bolt the 4 bolt axles from a 94-95 Miata to the 6 bolt Porsche flange. This is probably my weakest link, but at about $60 per axle, I can afford to break an axle or two! I have other solutions if this becomes a problem.
B R A V O !!!!!!!!!!!!
To all the UNfinished Europa's, What's your Excuse now, I STILL WANT ONE ,
Even if you have just Trumped all Others
NICE. I’m almost speechless over here and that doesn’t happen often.
I need to see and ride in this thing some day.
In reply to Patrick :
It was at Quaker Steak last Sunday! I’ll take it to trunk or treat if I get back in town early enough.
So....what is it like to drive? I have to think it is at the intersection of Thrilling Ave and Terrified Blvd?
Pete
In reply to NOHOME :
It is still in the sorting process, so it is a little scary, but it’s going to be great! I need to get the fuel maps smoothed out. It doesn’t like to start when it gets warmed up. I’d also like a taller(lower numerically ) final drive ratio. Like I said ... work in progress.
