Thanks for the tip! I'll give those a look.
I inspected the CBR intakes a little more closely, did some quick napkin math and convinced myself they might fit the bill. Just ordered two for ~$60 each.
Throttle plate sizing seems just about right, and they include a TPS and another set of fuel injectors, which might be fun to play with eventually.
I'm not necessarily committed to any of these options yet, just kind of exploring possibilities. One of them is sure to work.
Waiting on some parts to work out the throttle linkage, and I've been playing with some test prints.

Giving myself space to attach throttle linkages and whatnot. I've got to figure out where vacuum lines and the idle valve go to.
I've got a bunch of parts coming in this week, including bits from SendCutSend for the rear suspension and throttle linkage parts for the ITB setup.
Progress should be happening shortly, but only after this weekend as I'll be in Daytona for the 24.
See some of you there, maybe?
Need just a bit more clearance at the front of the motor to get the hood to fit, but I should be able to shorten the intake part enough to get there. Otherwise, this looks like it might actually work.
Thanks folks!

I've got a aftermarket fuel rail on the way, and I'll order a FPR at some point that I can mount remotely. I think it will clear. I think the Honda fuel rails might also fit at the same time, if I ever want to play with staged injection down the line.
I bought some fuel rails from Racetronix. I'm not sure why they were so much cheaper than all the other options I found. Obviously I haven't actually plumbed or run them yet, but the machining and anodizing is pretty good, and they fit.
Clearance to the transmission was huge in some places and negative in others , so I'm having another go at it.
please don't look too closely at my welds ...
Hood clearance is a little short on the front two cylinders. Should I do the same thing that MG did with the MGC and add a bulge?
My fiberglass hood is already of MGC variety, but the bulge is not in a useful spot.
Here I am pointing to the spot where the hood contacts the throttle body, with the MBC bulge below:

Thanks! I guess it's a sign when some of my prior work starts to offend me.
Thr Clecos are honestly a game changer. Not sure how I got by without them before. Worst part is, they are super affordable so it's not like I had any reason not to have them from the start.
In reply to Nukem :
York Speedshop sells buttweld tabs for clecos. Those are a game changer as well. Cheap and work awesome. They have 2 hole and 4 hole varieties. I have both and use them frequently.
They also make high tension ones. Aircraft spruce sells those. Another game changer.
I have clecos without springs, they are threaded.....welding heat can ruin the springs in some situations....

Three things:
1. I was like "hmmm, have I read this thread?" so I opened page 1 and read the whole thread. You do nice work. Will be following.
2. Yesterday I was pretty offended at the quality of some (almost all) of my previous welding on the C5-into-Corvair structural bits. So I know exactly what you're talking about. Bro hug.
3. get out of my brain! A couple days ago I had a dream in which it was revealed to me that I should have Clecos.

Good to have you in here! I've been following your B for a while now, which is definitely a source of inspiration.
I'll have to check out some of these other Cleco varieties. I ordered a snack-pack of each of the sizes that Pegasus had, and a couple of side grip clamps. The butt joint ones look interesting.
