Nice, congratulations!
Always wanted to build a small block Rambler sleeper. That Studie nails it though, 4-door and Salmon. Great condition for a Pa. car. Congrats on the build.
Modified headers.
Made a switch panel.
Ran fuel line.
We actually did this a while ago, but here is a picture of the rear installed.
What a great productive day yesterday - rear brake lines, adjusted the brakes, bled, filled the rear, fabbed the exhaust from the headers to the muffler location.
Installed Headlights.
Installed rear brakes.
One thing about this car is that you can't just go to the auto parts store, and say I need ... for a 1959 Studebaker Lark. A perfect example of this is the shocks. it took quite some time to find the correct shock for the car. Of course this is true for most of our cars. A shock is a shock.
Shortened and installed driveshaft.
These pictures are from further back. I will get pictures of the exhaust soon.

No. There are not rules against engine setback. Why do you ask? We are using a set of mounts from a 65 lark, which came with a chevrolet engine. The engine is located where it would be in a 65.
We are planning to keep the battery up front for simplicity. We may move it to the back in the future.
Dropped the car on the ground today. Bolted on the wheels we plan on running. I'm loving the look of the car.
for some reason, i think craoger mags would look much cooler though on this mighty ride. very cool setup. that pink would be a very cool color to keep though, it looks very nice on the car.
Very nice! Very nice.... Ever thought about some sort of cold air intake fed from one of those grills on the front of the car...? And I need a list like that on my project car.
The car moved under it's own power today at 6:27pm. At 6:45, is did it's first burnout.
Throttle Linkage.
Mounted fuel pump and filter.
Plumbed.
Plumbed the front fuel system.
Burnouts!!!

So are the heads....but we are trying to use parts in the barn for the whole project. Everything is low buck on this project. We did have to buy the muffler.
Update time!
Cleaned and straitened battery tray.
Painted battery tray, and added 3/8 bolt for battery hold down.
Cleaned and painted underside of hood.
Couple of outdoor pictures.
Put on the bumpers.
Remade carburetor spring retention bracket.
The list as it stands now.
Made clearance pocket for shifter.
Cleaned and painted underside of the roof of the car.
Ok still not sure what PACC racing is but I like where this car is headed. My vote is for the salmon color with a white top above the rain tray.

PACC Racing is my family racing team. My Mom Paula, my Dad Andrew, my brother Cameron, and I Calvin (PACC). We have built many cars over the years, and have competed at the GRM Challenge, Drag Week, and in land speed racing. If you want to check out some of our past builds, here is a link:

If you click on the links in the sidebar, there are build sites for most of the cars. Some of them are incomplete, though.
Thanks for the kind words!

Ah you are the team that did the fiat. Man I loved that car! So much win going on at your compound there. Nice to see a family all together on the car building sickness. It's just me here and not much support from the wife or daughter. Mostly I get the eye rolling and the are you crazy that is not coming here responses to my madness. Well carry on with the madness as I'm looking forward to see how this on turns out. I also would like to see your blue one back together as well. Something about those old quirky cars being updated and running better than stock really makes me happy.

We have a saying at our house about Studebakers. They are just ugly enough to love. They just have a certain charm to them. Believe me, I am looking forward to getting the blue one back up and running too.
Glad to see you are enjoying the build!
