Rescued this little fella recently, now just need to decide what to do with it. I'm current into it for $460. More pics and progress to follow as I bring it back to life then decide it's path forward.

I'm in, looks pretty good on those Fittipaldi wheels.
edit: wait is this the one along the road in Marion Ohio?
What year is it?
I've got some bits floating around from my '79 that I stripped for parts, so let me know if you're looking for anything in particular.
924 has good weight balance for rallycross, though the extreme difficulty in finding an LSD transaxle is a strike against it in that department. There are a few guys running 924S's and 944s in the rallycross scene, but they do seem to be more more easily damaged due to the transaxle being in a vulnerable spot, compared to other 80s german cars (read: e30s).
As the owner of a 924S (definitely not for rallycross, though I think it would be a blast, I have a dedicated rally car for that) I'd love to say "go for it" because they're great-handling cars and even with an open diff should have really good rear-end grip....but I'll reserve that recommendation until you post up more details about its mechanical condition. The early 924 2.0 is a pretty weak engine compared to later 924S/944 2.5 and will leave you pretty down in power compared to almost everything in any RWD class, unless you boost it or something.

It's a 1979 as well. I will be needing the glass on the passenger side. Passenger door glass as well as smaller side window.
You'll need to log in to post.
