Its silver! Clear I had was a few years old, didn't lay down very nice, I hate sanding and buffing, may just leave it alone..... Its a racecar...
Why did all my pics dies?!
But does this mean im an official dork now?
And as soon as they were applied my passenger side window decided not to go back up. Berk.
Window fixed, the switch contacts were just really sooty. Why Toyota hid a screw for the center console where you really should pull the seats to get at, I am really not sure.... But I pulled the door apart first, and that side has not been molested like the drivers side. All good in there.
Picked up a cheap Momo seat. Now I have make mounts..... Im going to try to use the OE sliders so my wife can drive it.
Got rear ended on the way home... Arrg. Not bad so I just told the guy forget it, but my freshly painted bumper is scratched and license plate and mounts are bent... Looks like the tail light may have busted a tan too. Oh well. Racecar.
Seat mount time! Picked up a cheap seat that I fit in on CL. yes the car is dirty, i vacuumed before the seat went in....
rails
Front mount
and I didnt take pics.... but painted, with rear mounts, and Seatbelt tab
Bolted up to the seat.
installed!
Its a little lower than the stock one, but much tighter.
So I scored this on CL months ago. PPE Stainless header, catless overpipe.
Screw you heat shield bolt!
Closer
Thee cats, and heavy ass piping down.
New goodies in. Notice where the o2 sensor wants to be. The OE header measured the cyl's in groups of two. The new header has one 02 bung at the collector. I get to make a new custom 02 sensor harness that feeds one o2 signal back to the two plugs.
Terrible picture, but all the parts ready t get up up and hacked together.
And done.
Self adhesive heat shrink crimp connectors. I love these....
Wired up. Just barely is long enough.
Its a fair bit louder.....
And I swear I saw this on here somewhere. Zip tie cable stretcher. My hood release didnt want to work any more. Zip tie to the rescue!

That was all factory, but did get pulled around a bit putting the new rad in. One of the clamps was pretty rusty. I did use worm clamps on the new one.....

Thanks!
Well I fell like spring is coming....
Debating roll bars. My head is right near pickup truck bumper level.... Hard dog makes a bolt in one, its not an easy affair to bolt in, dropping gas tanks, cutting access holes etc. Should I make my own weld in? I have friends with benders and I can weld... Hmm.
Thoughts?
You might think I'm joking, but I have a friend with a very similar age MR2 that consistently gets rear-ended. . . I think they are cursed.

I've installed 2 of the Hard Dog roll bars, single diagonal in my stock MRS and double diagonal in my 2zz swap. It is an involved, and not particularly fun job especially if you are doing it by yourself. Dropping the fuel tank is probably the worst part. I would guess that fabricating and installing your own would be an even bigger PITA. I would just save time and buy the Hard Dog. Price is pretty reasonable and the quality is very good. Both bolted right in without having to "adjust" anything other than grinding the corner down a bit on one of the backing plates on the firewall.

Thanks for the input. It sure looks crappy to install, but yeah probably easier than fabing one.
