Playing around with CL and came across what could be a good deal for someone looking for a commuter car.

I figured that the seller misjudged how hard it is to sell a non-sporty, manual trans car. The trunk version of the Focus seems to be a harder sale than the hatch version which is seen as a little sportier (a little.) The ad had the vin so searching just the 17 numbers brings up its ole Copart listing.
Sold for $3,200 just this past Oct 24th. That then likely becomes $4000 with fees. Ad $800 for transport and the seller is invested in at at $4,800. Parts needed if used are less than $500 for bumper cover, hood, headlamps so he's in for $5,300, even could be as high as $6000. Notice in the Copart listing that pre-accident value was $12.7k. Seller is currently asking $7.6k but also notice there are still leaves on the trees in the photos. Bought in late Oct, those pictures jive with being about Mid Nov or 2 months ago. Knowing he's at $6k invested, I'd try for $6.5- $7k. I think that could be a win-win.
The car wears a clean title and I think the seller is being genuine and forthcoming in his ad. A Focus like this is rated at 30/34/41 mpg.
Only 55k miles and potentially could be bought at 1/2 it retail value. Largely half its retail value because so few people go looking for a non-sporty, manual trans car. Originally a Milwaukee car and now in Detroit so don't expect it to be rust free but it still represents a good value for northern markets.
C&D review on the 2015 Focus 1.0t
Same car listed on FB where the ad states it was listed 8 weeks ago and price dropped from previous $9.5k asking price. Seeing that the seller's past and current offering have been mostly Ford and Ford parts, I'll bet he's a Ford Tech
