I also had one but in beige with carmel interior. It was in the early 1990s and I had the idea of swapping out XR4Ti turbo bits into it. It was slower than maple syrup in February. Mine had manual windows and AC, it did have the extra vent in the dash. You could NOT get to 65mph with the AC on.

So which Ford drivetrain would be the easiet to swap into this to give it at least 200hp while keeping AC.

Probably just about any 302 with a T5?

Full on easy mode would be carb'd I'd think.

SVO/TBTC/XR4Ti turbo 4, later Ranger roller cam, improved injectors, eBay turbo, 3" pipe, Megasquirt, 255lph in tank pump, Aeromotive regulator.

I agree with the first part, but I think the wire hubcaps are perfect for this car. I wouldn't change a thing cosmetically except some better tires. What an awesome sleeper!
