That's better looking than most the ones that pop up for 3-4x the price.

That's what I was thinking.  Really not sure if these are overrated or underrated. Certainly not the best Cosworth and the Vega platform isn't the best, but it was different and impressive considering the time and being a US car

I've never driven one, I only know from what I've read in magiznes & online.  From what I've read the cosworth 4cyl wasn't much of a performance improvement.  I've seen plenty of cossie Vega posted for-sale with V8 swaps.  This shell looks pretty rough.  The floor plans & cowel are rusted through.  My guess is that the cosworth-uniqe parts might be worth the purchase price.

I wondered if this would be a good Locost donor due to the rust.  Lifting the special parts and putting them on a low-rust body would also make some sense.  Maybe put the fun stuff into a Chevette?

Vegas were  huge rust buckets.   Something about Japanese steel having a high acid content in that era.    Putting that drive train into a Locost would be cool.
