i haven't looked at the aftermarket performance type stuff, but oem style replacement suspension is totally unavailable. i take that back, you can order sway bar end links.

Alright alright... let's stop skewing the numbers here.
Yes, 5 people said they got high 20s with normal driving. ON THE HIGHWAY.
Fuelly is combined. The best i've seen in this thread for combined is 22mpg. (Which is believable, there's also someone on Fuelly that got 22, as well as 23.)
Do we need the snide comments at the end of these posts? No.
Would it be reasonable to say that combined mileage will be around 20mpg, give or take a couple? Yes.
Now, shall we return to arguing about 1 or 2mpg here or there?

Ah there we go!
Do those sites pretty much have all that stuff? I've wanted one of these cars for awhile, but i was getting scared.

Because i'm a keyboard ninja!
haddad doesn't actually have any. still wading through the kolar site...
i don't mean to be a sissy about it, but the whole suspension is this way, not just the tie-rod ends.
A bunch of people who don't own the car are arguing with people who either do or have owned it as to gas milage
Magazine racers FTMFW!!

Did you see any of my links? You can buy everything from Summit! There really is a lot available for these if you stop shopping at AutoChucksOReillysPepZoneBoys. Also, because of our weak dollar, it's super cheap to buy and ship in from Ozzieland. (I've purchased non-car goods from Australia 3 times in the past year as it was cheaper than in the States, even after shipping).
i totally looked at your links.
summit can't get you ball joints, at all. they're not listed. control arms? nope.
as mentioned a couple posts up, that haddad site you posted doesn't actually have the tie rod ends that you linked to. koller won't tell me how long it takes to get them unless i call them or after i actually pay online, so that could go either way.
i am too spoiled with this old crown vic....
Dude, it's a low volume specialty car imported from Australia. You're going to have to call more than one place to get absolutely every little replacement piece, but it is still all available. You can always get the GM part numbers and go here: http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/

i agree with the first half of that statement.

I had to buy 1 ball joint for the 227K mile Porsche, so I went ahead and bought a pair of better steel racing ones. That's the first ball joint or control arm I've needed for over 100 cars, many of which with over 200K miles and/or raced.
I also was given new upper and lower ball joints for the Javelin and am rebuilding the whole front suspension, but it is 38 years old and original. Funnily enough my stockers are probably still serviceable...
I often replace control arm/balljoint assemblies rather than messing around with bushings. It's easy, usually cheap, and is nice peace of mind.

If I place a good, serviceable ball joint in an envelope along with three empty envelopes on a table...
My friend has a GTO, he foolishly let me drive it around Buttonwillow once. After my session I didn't really want to give it back.
I know he has had issues with the brakes at laguna seca he has an amusing (to me) story of going off at speed on turn 11 due to severe brake fade.
Unfortunately his poor GTO suffered catastrophic engine failure at another track day last weekend. An impressively sized hole was punched in the block.
if your Rhys Millen impersonation isn't quite what it should be, and you tweak the rod that adjusts the toe in the back suspension, DON'T PANIC! GM does not have one, but you can always make your own replacement, or order one from another continent.
not a deal breaker, per say, but relevant to me.

Clearly i'd be able to figure out which one has the not-so-flat metal suspension part in it.
