My friend just got a 2006 CTS V. He likes backroad carving, and is getting into autocross, and track days. I'd like to be able to counsel him on alignment settings, but I'm lost on a 4 wheel independent car with actual camber gain. What should I tell him?
On Edit: It's lowered 2" on Eibach or Ground Control springs in the stock location.
No clue on alignment, but I really enjoyed the couple events I did in mine in stock form. No idea how competitive the local class dominator was, but I was nipping at his heels on street tires, to the point where I was immediately scouring CL for a spare set of wheels.
Tell him to be sure and turn ALL the nanny-aids off.
He went with 1.6° on the front. I haven't seen the sheet to see what the "before" settings were, but he says that it drives with much more precision than it did. .
