Does this ring a bell for anyone? No CEL. We're taking the kids on vacation and kinda need to get there and back

In reply to iceracer: She texted me at work and asked me if it had anything to do with the recall regarding the ignition.

All I know at the moment is that it happened once and restarted fine.

IAC would be my guess, probably just dirty.

Throttle body needs cleaned. Pretty common. It functions as the IAC due to drive by wire.

Remove the air intake boot and push in on the throttle blade to close it all the way, almost guarantee you it sticks when released from full closed. (Key OFF not running!)

IMO best way to clean is to remove entirely and clean with rags/toothbrush(not your wife's), and reinstall. The gasket is rubber and 99/100 times can be reused no problem. Do NOT over torque the throttle body bolts!

The solenoid for 1st gear and torque converter clutch lockup is the same solenoid on the 4spd auto (not relevant if you have the 6spd) so it's POSSIBLE you have a trans issue causing you to get converter lockup in 1st gear. Jack it up and see if it stalls with the front wheels in the air. I'd say it's more likely to be something else, in any case.
