Hey parts are actually going ON the vehicle instead of OFF of it! Happy Days.

Stupid slow Fedex is totally holding up this turbo build. Why is it that UPS can ship in half the time?

Racing seat - check, Racing steering wheel - check, Modified front bumper - check, Reorganized interior wiring - check, Engine bay looking like it was painted by a 5 year old - check!

Just needs racing tires mounted, turbo installed, and maybe the windshield glued back in...and 100 other things before this time next week!

Clutch and intake showed up yesterday, going to drop in the motor tonight. Hopefully our header shows up soon. Testing this weekend, loading up Tuesday.

You sure they aren't low (or high) impedence injectors? In other words. Are they the injectors that are meant to go in that engine?

They are stock 5.0 HO injectors (orange). Not sure if they are high or low but they should be correct to the motor and harness.

Well it fired up. We changed out the TPS sensor after pulling the codes and finding that the TPS might be bad. Wouldnt start but seemed to be timing. Flipped the dizzy 180 degrees and it fired right up and sounded great. Did it twice more then we lost the injectors again the fourth time we tried to fire it up. FACK!!!!

Tested the TPS and it appears to be fine. Threw in the spare computer and still nothing. Called it an early (11:15pm rather than 1pm) night.

Man...I've been stressing already and reading this ceratinly does not help. The past week for us has been 1 step forward, two steps back. As of now after busting my ass, I'm about back to where I was a week ago.

Hopefully, it's back to the normal thrashing from here on out.

Says the guy who leaves his house that morning and drives NORTH!

Our Challenger is strapped on the trailer heading south in 6 days!

See you in 8 days. Can't wait to see everyone again.

Is it just me or is there a lack of countdown clock this year? Or am I late to the party.

It's never too late to add another award, right?

The cool cats at CarDomain.com have signed on to sponsor an all-new award for this year's Challenge.

(drumroll, please...)

Announcing the "Craziest Build Award" presented by CarDomain.com- awarded to the team that has the most far-out concept at the 2010 Challenge.

The winner of this all-new award will be selected by Walter "Butch" Lahmann of CarDomain.com. (Yes, he'll be at the event to pick the winner himself.)

Also, check the $2010 Challenge event page for the latest press release.

Wise challengers who like nifty trophies will be adding 100% more crazy to their builds starting...now.

No countdown clock this year. I don't have the technical chops to make that work on the page without blowing stuff up...which I've already done twice today, so I'm at my quota.

Strapping Charlie Manson into the passenger seat of my car, do I have to count jailbreaking/airfare to my challenge budget?

PANSY!!!! 15 credit hours this semester, 40 hours a week at work, and I just seriously started my build this week. WIMP!

If I had any money and wasn't building a Formula car, I would so do it.

Count me out, I am just not that into 'crazy'. I have heard rumors of (and even seen!) some truly 'insane' builds out there so I will be content to watch someone else reap the rewards of their own mental issues. If you came up with some kind of award for 'sensible'...

Just got out of the hospital. Emergency appendectomy. It has us waaay behind. And I hurt - bad. A number of GRM-ers are offering to help out...Thank you Denny, Sean, Aaron and Blair. I did contact one of my favorite Challenge Team's driver and he is willing to drive our unit. Paula, who has never towed more than 120 miles of open road, said she will make the near 2000 mile pull. I hope to feel good enough to pull through Balt-Wash and Richmond. Unfortunately, some key things won't be done. We will get done what we can and plan to be there. Did I mention I hurt real bad.

At least you're a little bit lighter now. If it helps, I can donate as many hours as necessary/possible in parking lot wrenching once we're all in FL.

Just dropped the motor in our car tonight, now it's just down to little accessories like manifolds, axles, and wiring.
