Yeah, that is a bright side. 12 months to spend on the concours aspect of the car, and i'll certainly still have it at the time of the $2011 Challenge, so game on.

Annnndddd... at least now i have a garage rather than trying to sneak work in in the apartment parking lot and risking getting evicted.

I'm going through the same house buying crap right now. I'm in the middle of a short sale and we have to close by 9/30 to be eligible for a $8,000 tax credit. We've been in it for 4 months and they have been dragging their feet, and I swear, if they mess up the Challenge for me, some heads are gonna roll.

So you entered contract to buy before April 30th? I'm not getting the tax credit even though we'll be closed before 9/30.

I closed on my house the day after getting back from last year's challenge. Few hours later I was doing demo in my 2009 GRM shirt. One year later and the kitchen is not done yet but the challenge car is look good

Yep, it's true. Kitchen still isn't done, but the Challenge car is gonna be so clean under the hood you can eat off of that engine if you have to.

For those close enough to Maple Grove Dragway in Pennsylvania, the summer flea market was postponed until 8/21.

No idea how to post a photo here, so here is my lame attempt to post a photo of our HK-R Mustang.
The paint job is not done yet, we still need to add the highlights to the horses. Sorry for the poor quality of the photo, the car is still in the "paint booth" so there was no room to take a good one.

It goes to its first autocross on Aug 29th.

AWESOME, and you even got it to stick to the ceiling...very cool trick!

I don't think an SN95 has been in the Challenge yet! I can't wait to see it!

I'm thinking it will be the first SN95 at the Challenge, but I'm not 100% sure. I'm hoping it is.

Regarding the amusing "sticking to the ceiling" comment.....It came with Sticky tires? :)

How the heck did I paint a car in such a filthy garage?

in true me fashion my $2009 turned $2010 vehicle is still not complete and will either be $2011 or break budget .

sucks buying and remodeling a house mid project, moving project, and not doing much to it since you moved it to you sweet big new garage.

I'll ask my roommate if any of his RA1s are in decent shape. I know a few were chorded, but he has at least 2 sets. I believe they are 225/??/14

Not quite the unicorn that is the 275-35-15 Hoosier seems to be! I thought I had a set lined up but that guy disappeared. Good luck find the tires you need.

I can't wait to find out what you are building! Dave won't tell me so you really must have sworn him to secrecy!

I've grabbed a set of the 275/35R15 Hoosiers out of the trash pile that have come through over the past few months. They're always in groups of 2 with a pair of 225/45R15s as well, anyone have any idea what uses that combo?

Wow, now that is quite a drive! 40 hours by mapquest!

I don't think I'm going to make it this year, without a co-driver I can't make the 20 hour treck solo.
