Flip kit with u bolts 132.99 on ebay, spindles should be 150. Cut springs, free c notches from me, sub $300 before shocks. Belltech nitro drop shocks are cheap

Good point. I will call so we can discuss.
The budget room would probably allow for a set of sways. Are there any junkyard sway bar upgrades you are aware of?
Save money on the budget and don't use the bed unless it is important for the style.
I have a pair of giant CCW classics that nobody wants because they are too wide that would look nice on the back of that without a bed.

Interesting thought on no bed. Maybe what it needs is some GIANT aero wing "fabricated" from a few bed rails and the fiberglass doors of a Trans Am.
Maybe in this case a tail gate fashioned to be a wing.

Yeah. I junked a 1 ton bar last year, forgot to take it off truck. One of the places makes a 1 1/8 rear bar. It's glorious. I have one.
In reply to pimpm3:
3500 front and rear, 2wd. The later in the body style, the bigger the bars. Generally speaking of course. So, late 90s.
Oh man- as a truck aficionado I'm on board. Also relatively envious of your particular purchase.
My input on suspension is a set of drop spindles, cut a coil, flip kit (with the included plates so you don't have to weld new leaf spring pads on) and let it rip. My 83' has this with 2" shackles and I have no need for a c-notch.
I'm excited to see how this thing does- I want action shots.
Less than a month out.
Plan is to arrive Wednesday night to start the build Thursday morning.
Suspension has been ordered. I have two local buddies lined up to help.
Who is in to turn a wrench or spray some paint?
I am on for the duration on the PLB, but... there also may be a late entry with my name on it needing a little last minute attention.
We'll hopefully be arriving Thursday with some time left to help out on this and the qute45.
