Cute Utes Amigos X-90s Crvs Rav4s
Also could do a clean-up year, where all past sub-class vehicles compete. Would give the guys building a car that didn't get finished in time to make the show, still be included

Especially at stock height on slicks.
Indy: i actually really like that idea. A sub class for sub classes. See how many returns/new but old builds show up. It may finally give me my excuse to build a turbo northstar awd s10.

i mean the x90/sidekick/tracker/vitara/samurai are all banned by name in the scca rulebook
I like the crv idea.....Already got a build in mind using the first gen. Can we have an additional event for that.....sand drags.
The whole point is that the idea comes up organically at the challenge each year for the next. Thats how it happened this year anyway

If we do cop cars you better be able to get us deals on newer models so we don't have 10 crown Victoria's running around.
Already have my wagon/aristocrat car...
A 200tw one set of tires class might be a fix for the tire rule.

What is the definition of "malaise era cars'?
If you are talking the 70's, there are some good ones in that era that can be set up fast and cheap.
But if you want crappy cars to start with, the definition needs to be tighter.
In reply to DeadSkunk:
Forget k-cars, just a spec pizza cutter class- no tires wider than 175, no treadwear rating softer than 600
90s ecobox class.
FWD Seats 4 4 cylinders Max tire/wheel = 8"/225 200tw
Sentra, Saturn, Protege, Escort, Neon, Civic, Corolla, etc.
And add a gas mileage challenge.
Dodge Spirit R/T

I've got a Spirit RT, if you want it.

Simple fix. All cute utes must have outriggers with training wheels to prevent tipovers. Put tassels on the side mirrors and give them 70s bike paint jobs.
It would be fantastic except I'm not sure how to make a banana racing seat.
All suggestions presented are basically platform based. What if you didn't base it on platform but come up with a "theme" subclass?
I.e., don't limit platform but in a nod to concours competition have a stated appearance theme such as:
MOVIE CARS...Mad Max, CarsI, II & III, Christine, Gone in Sixty Seconds, Corvette Summer, Cannonball, Days of Thunder, etc.
HOTWHEELS: Your favorite Model
VINTAGE RACE CAR LIVERY: We've already seen some cool entries...Mumpkin Re-Own, Martini Justang, Petty Superbird Civic, Datsun BRE mini van, etc
CELEBRITY CARS: Elvis pink cadillacs, Liberate bejeweled rolls, Janis Joplin psychedelic porsche 356, etc.
