I didn't see one, so I figured I'd make one. Sorry if there is one already.
Whats with all the odd ball lighting on the outsides of the cars this year?
I don't remember seeing it on anything last year.

I'm not there, but wish I was. My good friend Chris Mitchum's team in running the LubroMoly Porsche, so I'm definitely following it...
Maaaan. Good race so far. Was suppose to be there, but not. Watching from the comfort of a house. Absolutely laughing at APR's effort (I loathe them) and am waiting for Marco to crash, then pass the blame on someone else. Other than that, like the GT field as well as the new style DPs. Definitely alot more attractive.

So Marco is going to show up tonight, having never driven a DP car or turned a lap at Daytona and strap in nonetheless? That is insane.

That explains the dislike of APR on your part....
I have to say, aside from Mario, the Andretti family is a bit embarrassing more often than not :(

Cold tires, cold track, 600+ hp...

And he's PROUD of it. He literally just said that he wasn't sure if he'll fit in the car. What an ass.
I didn't know Pastrana was driving in this. He doesn't seem to be making a fool of himself.
SPEED is not one of the channels I get. I'm listening to the Radio Le Mans audio and watching the in car feed from speedtv.com. Is there a better option for me?
Just watched Ganassi do the front brakes with their "quick disconnect" front calipers. How do they do that without bleeding them?
Marco's running pretty well so far. 6th overall at this moment (FCY). Bad luck for the "Red Dragon" of Gurney.
The brake lines have a disconnect. They use them on bikes too. https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/group.asp?GroupID=STAUBLI

I would think they have to have some sort of overprefilled calipers and lots of one way valves....

Quick disconnects and they may have the driver apply some pressure to the pedal.
Yep, they have calipers already bled and quick disconnects like airlines. There is alittle air trapped, but it is eventually bled off

I talked to Travis. He said he had more than one tankslapper, but managed to catch them. He also said he needed to "slow down to go faster". Seems like he is a student of the sport!
So no one has answered my question. What's with all the neon lighting on the cars? I feel like I've never seen this before.

It's to differentiate the cars at night. It's specific to endurance events that go through the night.
You can easily tell that there is a 458 coming down the pit lane, but you don't know WHICH 458. The LED lights (usually different colors) can tell a team that their car is coming down the lane, even when their radios have malfunctioned.
