2.73 gearing will do that. I kinda like the feel, you've just got to know what to expect and why. Redline at 4750, ~170lb/ft of torque. kinda dieselly in personality.
mine is a 86 325e auto 4door
im seeing about 28mpg mixed driving, now my daily commute involves a 2000' elevation change and I drive with a led foot in it
