Hey guys, I got it running on my push button start for my Exocet, but a bit confused what else needs wired in.
I wired the blue to white wire to turn on ECU power and fuel pump.
The other white wire to Black and white wire kicks the starter on. The car starts with that setup, but I have a black and red wire and a black and white wire. This is the Exocet, so the wiring harness is completely stripped of everything but what it needs to run the engine.
Anyone have the diagram handy? Is anything above silly?
I can get that for you in a bit. Iirc you're looking at ACC and IG2.
I did a write up last century on push button starts - check Keith.miata.net and look for the Big Red Button link.

Thanks! I found a few write ups, but they all sounded dubious.

Hmmm, am I concerned with disabling accessories when I don't have any? My car has no radio, no lights, no cigarette lighter, etc. Though I suppose I need to check the wiring diagram to be sure.
I'll check wiring colors in a bit when I can grab my diagrams, but it's unlikely you have anything on that circuit. The main reason to disable ACC when cranking is to ensure there is maximum cranking power, and since you're unlikely to be dealing with difficult starting conditions that's not a high priority.
I know a lot more now than I knew when I wrote that, but the basics are right :)
Almost done, finished the wiring, need to trim and clean up the wiring.
Still need any wiring info?

I'm an idiot and forgot what I had done. I only have 3 fuses left on the left side fuse box, one for the ECU, one for my wideband, and one for my tach. I used your article to straighten out the rest, thanks!
May not help but I have a wiring diagram I used for push button start on my 96 miata based locost. Like your exocet it doesnt have any accesories. My setup works great on my locost
