Funny. I used to love the Marauder. My neighbor bought one new. Still has it (under 10K miles). Guy is 90 years old. After staring at it all the time, I don't like them anymore. Doesn't seem special enough, as the ImpalaSS seems to me.
That's an interesting take. Probably relates to the fact that Ford kept making those Panther bodies for years and years. Can't remember the last time I saw a late 1990s Caprice, on the other hand.
Objectively, the Marauder is newer, faster (EDIT: read some things and now I'm not so sure... frickin' Modular V8s), not a GM, and better stock-vs.-stock.
Not sure how well those DOHCs respond to modifications, though... that was always an uphill battle in my Ford days. So I guess the deciding factor for me would be whether or not I was going to keep the car stock.

Hi Curtis, I have a 94 caprice and I wanted to ask you a few questions about some things ive just had done (and maybe later on about things im thinking about doing if thats ok?)
I just had a a reconditioned optispark put in, and after they put it in they put DEXCOOL in without asking me what I wanted first (I had the regular green antifreeze in it before)......you think it will be ok with DEXCOOL in there??
The gaskets they used for the water pump, and crankshaft are FELPROs btw
Thank You
WO
You'll likely be OK. The big problem with Dexcool is the incompatibility with the clay tablets that GM used. By this point, it's likely mostly gone. The thing that would concern me is if they didn't flush well enough and there was some green left. Green and Dex don't play well together.
