Yeah I tried to do something like this when the Jeep XJ-R page was closing in on 2,000 likes. FB doesn't let you know which user was the Xth like so I would have to watch the page and see who the "winner" was.
I ended up just randomly drawing a name so "Like" #1 had the same chance as #1,999.
That's a nice prize, but not nice enough to get me to make a facebook page.
Man, oh man. I logged in when the GRM page had 29,997 likes. Refreshed it a couple times and saw it jump to 29,999 likes and hit the like button myself. No idea how facebook tracks this stuff or if there's a delay, but I've got my fingers crossed!
