Probably should post this on the classic side, but this hour film will be enjoyed by very very many here.
Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Stirling Moss..

Oh, that looks good. As soon as I get an hour...
There's a Classic Motorsports topic on the GRM forum now, so you can do both... Looks like it aggregates all the subtopics happening on the CM forum.
Actually, I'd have thought conversely this post would be on the CM forum under the new GRM topic, but I don't see it...

The beauty of having the CM board added to this one is for those that use the "Latest Topics" feature, it all appears as one big board.
I really like this feature and having the CM post added is a welcome addition.
thank you... thank you.... although not as of yet seeing it (only 4:00 in so far)... I have something automotive I can share with my wife...
her favorite racer is/was Sir Sterling... and shes always been a fan of Patrick Stewart

If I had posted this title in the Off Topic area, I would understand the confusion.
I watched the whole thing in a few parts. Very good. Seems he was quite the playboy and then got married, but...he kept his honeymoon short at 4 days so that he could be back to judge a beauty contest! Well Done!
Fantastic video. I absolutely love F1 and sportscar racing from the 50s and 60s. There was so much more heart in the sport in those days, very much a patriotism across European countries. I really enjoyed that.

Here's the episode with Jackie Stewart: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M09A3Iu-qfk
Wow. Just Wow. I always wanted someone to make a move about Moss and cast Stewart in that part.
Was it me, or did they filch some music from "Batman Begins" in that? Second, I wish they'd left the music off when he was driving the Vanwall as I'd like to have heard the car...
Edit: I think the music might have been from "The DaVinci Code". It's the same composer, IIRC.
watched it the other day.. as someone who isn't an F1 fan and didn't really know who Stirling Moss is, i found it to be very interesting... but i had to keep reminding myself that a 72 year old man was fawning over an 83 year old man as if he was a hero from another generation or something... also, i kept switching between imagining Jean Luc Picard and Avery Bullock doing the voice overs, but for some reason Professor Xavier never popped into my head.

Hans Zimmer. I picked out one from Gladiator.
Great video. I had no idea Patrick Stewart had any interest in cars. I've been a huge fan of Sir Stirling Moss for as long as I can remember...I can't imagine what I would do if I got a chance to trace part of the Mille Miglia, in a 300SL Gullwing, with Stirling Moss at the wheel.
I'm watching the Jackie Stewart one now. They REALLY condensed his entry into racing. They made it sound like he did a couple of test drives and was immediately given an F3 ride.
