2009 Everest Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV) Ford offers world premiere of Everest, an all-new 7-seater family SUV, at the 24th Bangkok Motor Show
Ford Motor Company today unveiled the all-new Everest, a 7-seat family Sport Utility Vehicle, at the 24th Bangkok International Motor Show, the second-largest auto show in Asia-Pacific. The newest sport utility from Ford debuts in Thailand and ultimately will be available in more than 50 countries.
Everest is Ford’s latest addition to its growing family of sport utility vehicles. The new SUV offers safe, comfortable, flexible and affordable family transportation in a highly-styled configuration with the command seating position and road presence that consumers prefer.
The (Trinidad and Tobago)Government has forked out close to $22 million to purchase 64 new Ford 2009 Everest Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV) which will represent part of the escort detail for the Summit of the Americas, police source said yesterday. The source said each vehicle was valued at $350,000.
Don't get too excited, this is in Trinidad, exchange rate is 6 to 1 USD, so purchase price is more like 58000.00 each, but still a lot of money. Looks like a very interesting SUV, turbo Diesel, very capable. But why can we not get them here?
58K for a diesel explorer? I want ford to them to bring back the early 90's escort but put a small turbo diesel in it. Something that could compete with what VW is offering just 10-15K less. Ya it would be an econo box but dang it we need more cheep reliable appliances.
It just has to have enough torque to be able to tow a Miata

WHAT? You can't tell?
It has a new roof rack!
I think the down side is not so much not having another SUV, but rather the fact that it is a diesel
and stylisticly it looks better than what we do have from ford. Almost a cross between a nissan and a forester
