My honest opinion is that 10 years from now most of what we're into today will seem almost irrelevant because itll get <50% the fuel economy of cars at that time and probably suffer mightily in performance too.
If new cars keep getting better faster, it's going to be hard to get excited about the stuff i like now, 10 years from now.

I will agree that new cars seem to be getting better in the performance and gas mileage categories but they seem to lack any soul or connectedness to the road. A lot of new cars that I have driven just feel numb.
Here's one for ya: current Ford "SHO" cop cars. In 5 years they'll be a few thousand at auction just like the P71s. And three words: ballistic door panels.
